Responsibility!!

“If you are a person who takes more responsibility,
You’ll be given much more responsibility, and if you are taking much more responsibility, you’ll really feel powerful”

In one of the recent meetings with my all volunteers (carefully selected capable people) team for a CSR program, I was appreciating few of my people for taking more responsibilities, in addition to what they agreed to do when they joined the program and was telling them why I like to give more and more responsibilities to them. Listening to my comments, one other fellow team member made fun of those people who I appreciated, saying, they are being fooled by sweet words; though he really didn’t mean it and said that only for fun, his comment might have sent a negative signal to the concerned people.

I just wanted to make a point to people like me, or those who I appreciated for taking more responsibilities; it's very rare that managers, leaders try to fool around with you giving more responsibilities. The fact that they are giving more responsibilities to you itself means they are acknowledging your potential and credibility. Saying so, if for some reason any of your superiors don’t reward you or stop you from getting recognized for your work, don’t develop a bad impression about other managers generalizing the stupid act and change yourself, restricting from taking responsibilities.

Napoleon the Great says, “Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious, than to be able to decide"; and responsibility gives you a chance to decide. Taking more and more responsibilities would make you much stronger, capable, credible, and happy, and prepare you to be a great leader. What else do you need in life? So don’t bother about people who make fun of you, or cheat you by getting all the work done without proper recognition; keep going and growing! But at the same time, move away from those few who just try to exploit people.

As its unhealthy competetion managers assign their irresponsible work to Responisble team members, Being Responisiblity gives lot of passion towards work what they given to us at the other end we should not bother about comments of those who sends negative signals... :-) Bcoz reponsible efforts never fail...!!!
